•“Updater to Shanghai II 1.04” (updates previous versions of Shanghai II to version 1.04)
•“Postcards Demo” (a sample of the tiles in “Postcards for Shanghai II," which consists of three sets of photographic-quality tilesets for use with Shanghai II. “Postcards” is available as a separate product)
•“Postcards ad” (displays and can print an ad/order form for "Postcards for Shanghai II")
If you downloaded the updater but not the demo, or vice versa, you can find both files on Compuserve, America Online, GEnii, Delphi, and the Internet ( anonymous ftp from @sumex-aim.stanford.edu).

USING “POSTCARDS DEMO”
1. Use “Updater to Shanghai II 1.04” to update your copy of Shanghai II (see above).

3. Make sure you have 32-bit QuickDraw installed. If you have System 7 or any Macintosh later than a IIcx, it’s built in. Otherwise, look in your System Folder for an icon called “32-Bit QuickDraw.” It’s available from your dealer. If it’s not in the System Folder, obtain a copy, put it into the System Folder, and restart your Mac.

NEW FEATURES IN SHANGHAI II 1.04
•Pop-up facts are included for every tileset except Alphabet, HiLo and LoHi. Pressing the Command (Apple) key and holding the mouse button down on a tile displays a pop-up fact in a balloon, similar to System 7’s “Balloon Help” (System 7 is not required). Holding the mouse button down on a partly hidden tile while pressing the Option, Shift or Control keys displays the whole tile, as in version 1.0.
•Guide to These Tiles, Guide to Tilesets and Guide to Layouts now have a “Done” button for returning to the game, instead of returning after a single click. This allowed the addition of arrow buttons in Guide to These Tiles, for more friendly help. Clicking any tile while in Guide to These Tiles displays the tile’s pop-up fact (no keypress is needed). Hanafuda tiles now have labels.
•The program now requires only a 750K partition for the built-in tilesets, instead of 800K.
•The About... page displays Activision’s new address and phone number.
BUGS FIXED IN SHANGHAI II 1.04
•After Dark, QuickMail, Eudora and SuperClock will no longer crash when they try to beep or play sound while Shanghai II is running.
•Version 1.0 crashed under A/UX due to sound driver incompatibilities. Sound and music are now disabled under A/UX.
•Dragon’s Eye games will no longer end if a Slayer’s hand is empty and the Slayer still has legal moves on the board.
•Several small bugs that might have caused seemingly random crashes have been fixed. This includes the occasional crashes after the fourth tournament game or while showing scores during a tournament on certain configurations of Macs.
